At the official invitation of the Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone of the People’s Republic of China, we visited the zone and held productive and constructive meetings and discussions with the zone’s leadership and other officials on expanding economic and trade cooperation. During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation was also signed between the two sides.
This Memorandum of Understanding provides a valuable framework for expanding cooperation between Afghanistan and China in the areas of trade, investment, industry, production, technology, and economic growth. It will also help facilitate greater direct cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.
The Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone is recognized as one of China’s leading national economic development zones, with approximately 4,000 companies operating within the zone. Many of these companies are regarded as leaders in China in the fields of advanced technology, innovation, and industrial manufacturing.
We hope to see the emergence of a strong, developed, and economically self-reliant Afghanistan.
